Kahea Hart, NSSC HAWAII Founder and Coach, has had a surfing career of over 27 years on the North Shore of Oahu. Kahea first moved to the North Shore to live the dream of becoming a pro surfer. After many seasons of travel and winters on the North Shore Kahea started working with a trainer and competing mostly at home in Hawaii in the triple crown and other local events, such as the HIC at Sunset Beach and the Volcom Pipe Pro. At the age of 39 he qualified for the Billabong Pipe Masters. Through 2005-2009 Kahea was team manager for Hurley in Hawaii and traveled with kids locally and internationally. In 2006 Kahea became the assistant coach and trainer for the Hawaii Surf Team and in that time the team has stood on the podium every time and won the gold twice. 2010 Kahea received his CPT from NASM and began cross training surfers. 2014 he completed the Crossfit Level One Certification. In 2017 received his Foundation Training Certificate(FT) which has become the base for this training program because FT trains proper movement, the key to performance. Over these 27 years Kahea has transformed this passion and experience into a training and coaching program for youths and adults. The creation of North Shore Surf Clinic is his chance to share his knowledge and experiences as a free surfer, competitive athlete, team manager, world traveler, and private coach / trainer. Kahea wants to provide incredible opportunities for serious athletes who want to better themselves and take their surfing to the next level in and out of the water.
